Adriatic Bank AD Belgrade has received official approval from the European Payments Council (EPC) to join the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA Credit Transfer) scheme, thereby meeting the conditions to become part of the most important system for cashless euro-denominated payment transactions in the European market as of 4 May this year.

With this step, Adriatic Bank AD Belgrade further aligns itself with the European community of commercial banks within the SEPA payment scheme, with the aim of providing its clients with simpler, faster, and more cost-efficient euro transactions to 41 SEPA member countries. Joining the SEPA area represents a significant milestone in enhancing the customer experience, particularly for clients engaged in cross-border business or frequent euro-denominated payment transactions.

The SEPA scheme enables cashless euro payments to be executed under favorable and standardized conditions across all member countries. The SEPA area comprises a total of 41 countries, including all 27 European Union member states, the European Economic Area countries (Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein), Switzerland, the United Kingdom, as well as Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, the Vatican City State, Albania, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
